Buddha gets painted black

I bought a Buddha statue made up of mud. I purchased it for Rs.100 in a local shop. I felt it would look better with an attractive color on it. So decided to go with the Black and Gold combo. Painted Buddha's hair in Gold and made the face go Black. How does it look?

Ganesha painted on water colors

I tried to paint ganesha in water colors. I drew the geneshas on a normal chart paper. This gave a serene look to the painting. I just used a pencil to highlight the dark edges. You can see that all the three ganeshas are as a group. The left on and right one's face is tilted and the middle one faces straight.

Warli Painting on Pots

Warli painting is a tribal art mostly done by Tribals from North Shyadri Range in India. I have tried to incorporate this art on my pots.

I painted another pot focussing on a center point with the various activities of the Warli. On the other side of the pot I have added an array of Warli men and women standing. This is one of the speacial pictorial representation of the Warli tribes.

Mask Painting

I tried to convert a dull looking mask to brighter ones. These masks were bought in a local shop. Both look similar. The colors were too dull. I worked on them and tried to add more life to it.

In this picture you can how I have differentiated the two masks. One as Male and the other as Female. The mustache and the nose ring is what I have used for the differentiation between the two.

Pot Painting

I got few pots in a local shop for painting. I used Black, White and Red acrylic colors to decorate the pots. These colors gave a tribal look to the pots.

I took a bigger sized pot and used bright colors like red, blue, yellow and green and used white to highlight the designs.

This is how the pots I painted decorated our TV Unit.
